Product Experience Hub

The Product Experience Hub allows brand-owners to create and manage their product information according to GDSN and the GS1 Global Data Model. It includes Product Information Management features for suppliers wanting to enrich product information and digital assets and caters for distribution of the product content to multiple data recipients. Retailers and other data consumers can receive and manage products from vendors or own brands. The PEX Hub is engineered with the GS1 trade item guidelines at the core, supporting the various GS1 industry sectors data models, such as FMCG, DIY and Healthcare; providing brand-owners, partners and retailers with an enriched content aggregation and distribution platform that is easily scalable and customisable to their needs.

The PEX Hub empowers brand-owners to maintain and enrich their product content in a single repository to be able to distribute accurate, transparent, and rich product content and digital assets to retailers and third-party applications. It is a customisable solution that can be tailored to fit your organisation's specific needs regardless of industry role.

Our PEX Hub caters for five key data segments:

Basic Data : essential for listing of new products, ensuring a consistent single source and flow of
product key attributes, like GTIN (barcode), product name, packaging hierarchy, weights and dimensions, pallet Ti’s and Hi’s – supporting the complete GS1 Global Data Model

(Brand) Marketing Content: aggregates enhanced product content which fulfils a shopper’s journey needs, by allowing brands to communicate their marketing content, such as a content rich product description, features and benefits, search keywords;

Digital Assets: product images such as front of pack, back of pack, hero images, supplementary images, all essential to flow with a product through to retailer platforms to serve the digital path to purchase;

Product Label Content: this includes content found on the product label, such as Ingredients, Allergens, Warnings, Specifications (for General Merchandise).

Digital Links (2D Barcodes): 2D Barcodes enable the use of the GS1 identifiers to link customers, consumers, business partners and patients to multiple sources of online information, supporting different processes of multiple partners and serving multiple needs

Distribution of product content is made seamless via our Global API which has been designed to follow the GS1 global standards and support the GS1 Global Data Model.

  • The GS1 SA Data Enriched Platform is powered by the TrustedSource Product Experience Hub.

In addition to the features the PEX Hub offers to support the maintenance, enrichment and distribution of accurate, transparent, rich product content and digital assets, the GS1 SA Data Enriched Platform was customised to include two specific modules:

A Quality Assurance model that ensures that the data made available within the application has been validated and meets the requirements defined by GS1 SA.

A Prefix management functionality allows GS1 SA to manage the allocation of prefixes to their trading partners. This is cross-referenced, through validations, to ensure that all products received are assigned to a valid prefix range.
